Decide on which type shelter is the best choice for you and your family. By clicking on the “shelter styles and models” tab above, you will see the three types of shelters that we offer. These are below ground, inside a garage/carport( these install under your vehicle and take up no usable space from your garage or carport ) and the above ground safe rooms( these attach to your garage/carport floor or to a concrete slab outside if desired ) and the exterior below ground ( the install underground, outside of the home in the yard )

Once you know the type of shelter that you prefer, then decide on the size shelter for that particular type. If you decide on our most popular type shelter, the below ground, inside garage/carport, we have three sizes to choose from, accommodating up to fourteen adults. If you prefer to seek protection above ground, and the above ground safe room is the best choice for you, we have two sizes standard and can build any custom size as needed. In the exterior underground model, we have one size standard and again can build any custom size as needed.

Now that you have decided on the type and size, you are ready to get a quote and place your order. By clicking on the “contact and pricing” tab above, you can contact our corporate retail division or the dealer nearest you for retail, installed pricing. You can request pricing by either email or phone. You will place your shelter order with the same representative who quotes your price and once ordered, your install will be arranged for the earliest available time.

Steelsafe Shelters is a BBB Accredited Storm Shelter in Madison, AL

The Time Has Come

FINALLY…. Solid steel in ground certified, tested, and approved storm shelters that are engineered, fabricated, and installed in the southeast!

If you have been considering storm protection for you and your family, look no further. SteelSafe Shelters are at the forefront of storm protection and our shelters contain some of the most innovative features and the highest install standards on the market today.

Our flush, solid steel models are designed to be installed inside a new or existing carport or garage, and take up no space from your usable area. This shelter design is installed under your concrete floor in the garage or carport (yes, existing homes also) and you park your vehicle right over the top of it. Amazingly, our dual lid design not only provides two methods to exit your shelter in emergency situations but also allows you to enter your shelter without having to move your vehicle when a quick entry is necessary. This is a great feature should you be asleep when the awful sound of weather siren awakes you, leaving you little or no time to be prepared. And the best part, with our in ground flush shelter, you never have to get out in the storm to retreat to the safety of your shelter.

Our outdoor models are designed for those who might not have a covered garage or carport. This shelter model, like the flush model, is a solid steel unit and is one of the most advanced and well thought out exterior shelters available.

When considering the design, test results, features, and installation requirements; we feel that you will quickly see that a SteelSafe Shelter is simply the choice that makes sense!
